Initiated in 2005, the Irrigation Association set apart the month of July as “Smart Irrigation Month” in order to better educate property managers, homeowners, and the general public on efficient water use! This year’s theme is “Smart irrigation. Sustainable solutions.” Which encourages industry firms and professionals to promote smart irrigation practices and technologies.
Smart irrigation controllers, for example, reduce outdoor water waste by taking the guesswork out of programming and using weather data to determine the right amount of water for the landscape.
